Recycling Program
She is Candles, LLC is pleased to introduce the She is Candle Jar Recycling Program!
We always seek ways to help our planet and Candle Family and Friends. We invite you to return your candle jars to refill them with your next candle fragrance at a discounted price. Candle vessels must be cleaned and returned to purchase your next discounted candles.
If you don't want to participate in the program, you can also use your candle vessels for these great projects:
Use as a tea-light candle holder. Glass containers are perfect for tea-light candle holders. The reflection they give is typically beautiful and can be used repeatedly.
Use it as a pen, pencil, or marker holder. Taller containers, like mugs, are perfect for this purpose and can offer a more stylish way to keep your supplies organized.
Use as a planter for succulents and small cacti. Just make sure to add small pebbles to the bottom first so extra water has a place to drain.
Make a mini herb garden with mint, parsley, basil, and lavender.
Drop a tea light into the candle jar to create a nice visual effect for indoor or outdoor use. And if you want to get creative, you can even take a clear jar and paint the glass before dropping it in the light.
Thanks for being a part of our program! You can see the candles available in our online shop here:
Once you've burned your candle to that ¼ inch, pop the container into the freezer overnight. (You can also pull the candle out after a few hours, but leaving it overnight ensures the wax freezes through.) After your candle remnants are fully frozen, flip the jar upside down in the air and forcefully bang the bottom with an open palm—the wax should fall out cleanly in one large piece. If it doesn't, use a butter knife to break apart the clump of wax and remove it in pieces.
There are other methods of removing wax, but this makes less of a mess this way—and you can heat from the equation, making the freezer an overall safer candle-cleaning method.
